Phippsburg is a cute, fashion-forward slightly cropped stranded colorwork vest. Striped ribbing trims the waist, round neckline, and armhole openings.
It is worked in-the-round from the bottom with steeks for neckline and armhole openings. You can make a cowl by using the smallest size, stopping the colorwork before the armhole steeks and finishing as begun, with striped ribbing. To be worn with zero to moderate positive ease.

Needles & notions
16in 40cm circular needles for all sizes, plus 24in 60cm circular needles for vest sizes 1 and 2 or 32in 80cm for vest sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, & 9, in sizes US 3 3.25mm and US 4 3.5mm.
Use the longer length needles for the main body, and the shorter length for when the decreases for the armhole and neckline shaping make the work too small for the longer length.
Always use the correct needles needed to achieve gauge.

Pattern notes
The body is worked entirely in the round to the shoulders, using steeks for the armholes and front neck. The armhole edging and neckband are worked in the round by picking up stitches and working 1x1 rib
