Here’s my PDF knitting pattern for a 10 inch tall phoenix (not including his tail - I made a 6 inch tail but you can make it as long as you like). He’s got posable wire feet and is big enough to sit on your arm, like a hawk, or on a perch. Mine’s quite happily sitting on a bookcase next to me, and he hasn’t set fire to anything yet.

The phoenix is knitted in one piece with separate wings, wire legs, and tail. You’ll receive a seven page PDF pattern with detailed knitting and making-up instructions, with plenty of colour photos to help you on your way.

He’s knitted flat, on 4mm needles, so you don’t need to know how to knit in the round to make yourself a legendary phoenix!
