Pattern provides two sizes, one to be knitted using fingering weight yarn, the other to be knitted using lace weight yarn. This is the entry for the fingering weight pattern, though the PDF contains both.

In fingering weight, the shawl will be 58” across by 30” deep.
The pattern provides only charted directions. Please read all instructions carefully. The construction of the shawl, although not complicated, is quite different from most other shawls.

Please note that the photographs are of the laceweight version of the shawl - I gave the fingering weight version of it away before I photographed it and still have to knit another one for the photoshoots!
Gauge
19 st and 22 rows to 10cmx10cm, in Flames pattern, for fingering weight.
