This is a version “2.0” of my original Mermaid Tail design. This pattern was designed for the baby sizes, please let me know if you’d like me to invest in designing larger sizes! The intent was primarily for baby photoshoots, but as a larger blanket anyone could be a mermaid if they wanted!

Here’s how it’s different from my free pattern:

• Smaller sizes for babies
• tail is worked circularly
• it uses only crochet
• additional instructions for bikini top and headband are provided

There are two gauges for this pattern, the one listed above is for the size J crochet hook. To check your gauge for size L, follow this:
14.5 st/17 rows = 4”

To make the tail similarly to what I’ve shown you’ll need two colors of your contrast A, and one of your contrast B.
