Phyllotaxis is a rectangular scarf of 50 x 170 cm and can also be knit as a cowl with three buttons of 35 x 135 cm.

It features a fairly easily done lace pattern - a combination of knit and purl, yarn overs, k2tog and ssk, therefore appropriate for lace beginners with basic knitting knowledge.

The name “Phyllotaxis” derives from its featuring leaves slanting to the right or to the left.
