This cowl is made especially for using scraps, a special set of yarn or any beautiful skeins that you have been saving. It is a potato-chip knit, one that is perfect for palate cleansing or zoom chats. Use superwash, rustic wool, handspun… all you need are colors that contrast and that make you happy.

This cowl can be worked in any weight and at any length. There are no ends to be woven in and only one seam that is attached in a simple, decorative manner. Choose your yarn weight, length, and colors and just enjoy the knit!

Sizes:
Variable. Sample size is 6.5 inches/16.5 cm wide and 60 inches/152.5 cm long
Directions are written for fingering (sport/DK, worsted/aran, chunky)

Needles:
US 4 (7, 9,10.5)/3.5 (4.5, 5.5, 6.5) mm or size needed for gauge. Remember that gauge is not critical for this project, so choose a needle size that gives you a fabric you like.

Yarn:
For 60 inch/152.5 cm version, at least 300 g of a variety of colors. Sample used 250 g of worsted weight wool in 6 colors.

Gauge:
All gauges are calculated using stockinette stitch in the round. Gauge is not critical for this project.
Fingering weight- 24 sts over 4 in/10 cm
Sport/DK weight- 20-22 sts over 4 in/10 cm
Worsted/Aran weight- 18 sts over 4 in/10 cm
Chunky weight- 14 sts over 4 in/10 cm
