“Pick-a-six” six-strand super chunky DK Beanie pattern

3 sizes included in the pattern - Small (S, child), Medium (M, adult), Large (L, large adult).

This hat knits up super quick, is easy to make and is ideal as a quick gift. It’s also SUPER warm, so make sure you make one for yourself!

We’ve included instructions on our favourite way to join in the round and make the pom-pom at the end of this pattern however there are many ways to do this – just use whichever you find easiest, you’ll still end up with a beautiful hat!

We recommend knitting a tension swatch square to check your gauge as knitting with the six strands can be a handful at first. Adjust needle size to obtain gauge.

You will need

• 7mm circular needles (40cm or longer - we use 100cm)
• 8mm circular needles (40cm or longer - we use 100cm)
• 6 balls of DK wool (at least 100g per ball)
• Crochet hook (for weaving in ends, any size)
• Cardboard & scissors (or a pom-pom maker)

Fits approx. head circumference (cm)
Size S fits approx. head circumference 43-53cm (17-21”), M fits approx. 54.5-62cm (21.5-24.5”) and L fits approx. 62.5-71.5cm (24.5-28”).
