‘Could you design an advent sock?’ she asked ‘I want to knit an advent sock.’
‘I suppose I could’ I answered.
‘Please design an advent sock’ she said.
‘But will I be able to think of new patterns?’ I asked.
‘It doesn’t matter’ she said ‘I just want to knit an advent sock.’
‘I could draw several charts’ I said ‘so you can mix them.’
‘That sounds like a really good plan’ she said ‘then I can knit an advent sock.’
‘Then you can knit them cuff down like you prefer’ I said ‘and I can knit them toe up.’
‘That really sounds like a good plan’ she said ‘I want to knit that advent sock.’
‘I could call it Pick and Knit’ I said ‘Maximum freedom.’
‘It’s a great plan’ she said ‘now can you design an adventsock?’
