Picket Fence Shawlette
Finished size: 48” across, 25.5” deep, 32.5” along the sides.
Gauge: The first three rows make a 2.5” x 2.5” x 4” triangle.
This shawlette is essentially a variation on the solid half granny square. It’s made in top-down rows, with increases on each end and in the middle “corner.” The unusual construction works great with striping yarn and the acrylic/cotton blend keeps it cool enough for summer. With a four-row repeat, it works up super fast and is perfect for Croflixing (Crochet+ Netflixing)
I’ve written it to fit my preteen sister but it can easily be made in any size-- just keep going until it reaches the desired size (two skeins of yarn should be plenty; I used around one and a half).
If you happen to run into problems (or notice an error in the pattern) please message me on Ravelry or contact me through my Facebook page and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
