Picket Fences is a quick and satisfying knit… and oh so soft and squishy when done up in my hand dyed 100% extrafine superwash Merino yarn. But any bulky yarn will do!

Yardage amount is total yardage used for one hat, but as you need two colors, if you work the opposite chart - the two skeins will create two hats - one the inverse of the other. Perfect for couples hats that co-ordinate without being matchy, for siblings, Mommy and Me, BFFs… or dare I say it, keep them both for you!

Samples are knit in one of each size, the dark version being the M/L and the light the S/M. 12g of variegated yarn remain.

I have a 23” head and the M/L fits me well, without squishing my hair too tightly.
