The Picnic Cardigan is a gingham fair isle cardigan knitted bottom up in the round,
then worked flat in stranded colorwork for the armhole & shoulders.
After front and back panels are knitted and seamed, steeking is worked.
Finally, the neckline and button band are knitted in 1 x 1 rib.

The sleeves are worked by picking up stitches in the round
and worked with German short rows for better fit.
The sample knitted in red is size S and the purple is knitted in size M.
