The Picnic Vest is a gingham fair isle Vest, knitted from the bottom up.

First, the body for the ribbing work flat separately,
then join and knit in the round.
Divide for front and back and work flat in stranded colorwork for the armhole.
After front and back panels are knitted and seamed,
Finally, the neckline and armhole ribbing are knitted in 1 x 1 rib.

The sample knitted in blue is size XS and the brown is knitted in size M.
