Picot Belle button cowl
Dragonfly Fibers is offering a kit of perfectly sized mini skeins and the beautiful abalone shell button to complete this cowl! Includes a pattern code! https://www.dragonflyfibers.com/product/picot-belle-butto...
Every spring, cherry trees around Washington, DC bloom in concert with the warming days. Unlike the iconic Yoshino cherry trees that line the Tidal Basin, which are a delicate pale pink, the Kwanzan cherry tree features the loveliest shades of dark pink to deep rose in its abundant double flowers. I am lucky enough to have a mature Kwanzan in my own backyard (pictured above) to announce that Springtime has indeed arrived in Washington. But snow in March or even April is not unheard of here, so this cozy cowl is just the right weight for these transitional days. Its trumpet shape is worn buttoned on the side so that the trumpet bell cascades down from the throat in a lovely wave. The button allows you to have a snug fit without having to pull the grabby mohair over your hair. The mix of fingering weight yarn and matching mohair/silk is light as air and can fit in the smallest of pockets. Fast garter stitch and simple short rows (no picking up wraps!) pair together for this advanced beginner knit that is sure to get a lot of wear.
