This beautiful and unique little coaster is perfect for your mug or glass at work or in the home. It is approximately 4.5” square and crocheted with any fingering weight yarn (cotton preferred).

The coaster is crocheted with a thin cotton in a dense woven stitch. It holds its shape well and doesn’t have gaps due to the stitch pattern used. The edging features a lacy picot edge that gives it personality and a touch of elegance.

The pattern is very simple and repetitive, perfect for beginners or as a mindless project for more experienced crocheters. Since gauge is not critical, it doesn’t matter much how tight or loosely you crochet. It features a woven stitch pattern which is a nice break from your standard single crochet based projects.
