This design began with a request to creat a cowl that was warm and cozy but didn’t “bunch up” at the neck. After experimenting with a number of possible construction techniques, including Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Pi Shawl, this faux-Mobius cowl/shawlette was born. It has wedges of short row garter stitch interspersed with a simple four row lace pattern. A little flurry at the beginning, some smooth sailing and then a twist at the end. Not Pi but pie!
