My friend fell in love with my Piece of My Hjerte Fingerless Gloves and wanted a matching hat.

Since the Light Red color used in the fingerless gloves never came in the bulky Alafoss weight (as far as I remember; and the light red color itself is discontinued), I used two strands of the lettlopi together (from the same skein, outer end and inner end), along with White Alafoss lopi. If you start with full skeins, you’ll use about 70% of Light Red léttlopi, and maybe 25% or less of White Álafoss lopi.

You can substitute another Alafoss/bulky weight color for the double-stranded lopi. Or do two different double-stranded léttlopi colors. The objective is to somehow get a bulky weight yarn for this hat.

This hat fits a Women’s Medium ~22-23” circumference. Furry Pompom is optional (but totally adorable!)
