A striking and quirky Pied Piper beanie and cowl set which doubles as a carnival or fancy dress costume. Particularly useful for carnival/mardi gras or Halloween if the weather is cold where you live!

This is a one-size-fits-all pattern. The beanie has a circumference of 22 inches/56 cm and is 9 inches/23 cm tall. The cowl is 24inches/62 cm at the neck and between 4 inches/10 cm and 7inches/18 cm tall, depending on whether you measure at the narrowest point or start from the points of the bunting-style edging.

The crown of the beanie uses 3 colours (you can adapt it to 2 colours if you’re not comfortable with 3-stranded knitting).

For both items you will need 100g of each shade. I used Old Gold, Venetian and Black.
