Piet Mondrian - Square Composition
From book: In his most famous works, Mondrian (1892-1944) used only black and white plus the three primary colors. This geometric work with its straight lines and colored rectangles could not be further removed from the landscape paintings of his early career. In the 1960s, Yves St. Laurent styled a dress around one of these abstracts. It was this that inspired the sweater.
