This pattern is recommended for someone who is comfortable in handling small crochet parts. It comes with 18 pages detailed instructions and 48 photos to help you follow along. The techniques used in this pattern are:

Crocheting in continuous round,
-forming a magic ring,
-handling of small crochet parts
-sc - single crochet
-sc inc - single crochet increase
-sc dec - single crochet decrease
-hdc - half double crochet
-dc - double crochet
-tr - treble crochet
-ch - chain
-ss - slip stitch

Using fingering yarn with 2.5mm hook will produce a pig of about 8.5cm/3.5in tall and 5.5cm/ 2.2in wide. It will be bigger if you use a thicker yarn and smaller if you use a thinner yarn.

The materials you will need for this project will be (based on fingering yarn):
Pink yarn
Brighter pink yarn
Tan yarn
Red yarn
Brown yarn
Black embroidery thread
Stuffing
Crochet Hook 2.5mm
Yarn needle

Additional material if doing open eyes version:
Safety Eyes 6mm x2 (use a bigger size if you are using a thicker yarn)

Additional material if making teeth:
White yarn
