Pigeon and Dove Amigurumi
Make your own Pigeon or Dove. With hundreds of distinct species, the family Columbidae is a highly diverse group of birds. This pattern gives detailed instructions to recreate three of its most notable family members: the cosmopolitan Rock Dove (aka Common Pigeon), the strikingly colored Bleeding Heart Dove, and the incredibly rare Silvery Pigeon.
The 80 page pattern includes detailed step-by-step photos and clear written instructions to make amigurumi-style Rock Dove, Bleeding Heart Dove, and Silvery Pigeon. PLUS there is a 36 page printer-friendly TEXT ONLY version at the end of the pattern. This pattern has been fully tested by multiple testers. Includes yarn amounts and hook sizes to make a Pigeon/Dove using worsted weight yarn and a small amount of DK or Sport weight.
Recommended for INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCE SKILL LEVEL. This pattern uses basic crochet stitches and more complex stitches (detailed in the pattern glossary).
A finished Pigeon made using Worsted Weight yarn is approximately 14.5” long from beak to tail, 11” tall from head to toe, and 4.5” wide at the widest point.
To make a Pigeon you will need:
