This pattern is
available for free.
A hat to wear for wintry walks. A windy snowfall and fir trees half dark, half white are translated into a stylized motif. Knitted in a natural black and light grey Finnsheep wool yarn.
The size can be altered with more or less pattern stitch repeats of 6 stitches. The stitch pattern has a chart.
Tension in stranded stockinette stitch is 22 sts / 10 cm. The brim is knitted in a tighter tension of 23 sts / 10 cm.
Yarn:
- in each colour: less than 35 g is needed
- 2 ply wool yarn works well
- suitable for stranded knitting
The hat is slightly slouchy with a square top. Some height and an angular shape at the top makes it flattering. If wanted, for a shorter and more head-hugging hat, e.g. rows 23 - 27 in the chart can be skipped.
The pattern is available as a PDF file.
