The perfect gift-hat for the anime-lover in your life! Pika-Hat and ears are worked in the round. The only seaming necessary is to join the ears to the top of the hat.

Sizes:
child (adult)

Finished Measurements:
18 (22)“ circumference

Yarn Requirements:
Eco Wool by Cascade 100% Peruvian Wool
250 gram hank = approx 478 yards
1 hank each 8457 Yellow and 8095 Black

Knitting Needles:
16” circular and double pointed needle in each size US 7 and 8 (4.5 and 5 mm)

Notions:
stitch markers; tapestry needle; poly-fill or desired stuffing material

The double-layered brim is worked in Stockinette stitch with smaller needles, then a purl round is made as a “turning round” where the brim is folded. The next layer of the brim continues in Stockinette with the larger needle, then stitches are picked up through the cast-on edge and worked with the live stitches to join the two layers. Crown stitches are decreased and ears are created, stuffed and sewn to the crown of the hat.
