It’s a cowl, but a shawl, but also a cowl…
If a cowl and a shawl had a baby…
The shawl that wanted to be a cowl when it grew up…

This pattern was born out of my love for shawls, but not how they kept falling off, making me constantly fiddle with them. So I decided to design a shawl that came together around the neck--no slipping, all glorious lofty warmth!

The Pikes Peak Showl is knit from the bottom up, starting with a few stitches and increasing for the traditional shawl look. Ends are then overlapped (both written description and video link provided) and cowl is worked in the round.
