Named after pillars used decoratively in classical architecture, the Pilaster Cardigan features an allover textural arrangement, upon which protrude slender columns of horseshoe cables spanning the back and the fronts, before extending into a collar to gently cradle the neck. The silhouette is longline and minimal, but without sacrificing the grace of well-fitting set-in sleeves, incorporated I-Cord selvedges at the exposed edges, and hem vents at the hips to balance length. And worked in polished, fine-gauge Peerie, Pilaster yields a garment with such luster and drape — well worth the time and effort.
Construction
This garment is worked flat in pieces from the bottom up, then sewn together. The collar extensions are joined at the center back neck using Joinery Bind Off.
