You know that basket of skeins and scraps of yarn that is long forgotten in the corner? Want to “get rid” of its content in the most beautiful and creative way? Then try this project! The result will be a wonderful piece of furniture: a decorative and original pillow, wrapped in one of the most beautiful crochet stitches: the jasmine (star) stitch. Choose the yarn you prefer, regardless of thickness and colour. Better still: use up the yarn you have at home! The variegated multicolour effect is stunning. You will LOVE this pillow cover.

  • The jasmine (star) stitch explained in this pattern is a beautiful stitch, yet a bit complicated. Don’t worry! My goal is to explain it to you in the easiest possible way. Its effect is stunning and, once you grab it, you will want to make many more projects with it.
  • This stitch uses up plenty of yarn, but I think what’s fun about this project is the fact that you can join different yarns and colours just following your creativity, and without having to buy a specific one.
  • The jasmine stitch is made of “petals” and “flowers”; should you need to cover a smaller or bigger pillow, just crochet less or more of them, according to the dimensions you have.
  • The pillow cover is made out of 2 identical panels, to be sewn together at the end.

This pattern is in English and uses standard US crochet terminology and abbreviations.
