Pilot tie
This Pilot tie is a versatile accessory which can be worn as a wrap tie or a headband. The brioche stitch has a intriguing stripe texture that’s highlighted in this design by using two colours. With the Pilot tie you can play around, showing off the front and back of the knitted piece.
Next to this, it is also a perfect way to learn the brioche techniques for the Pilot sweater pattern. If you’re new to brioche knitting, this is a short project to get familiar with the stitch and with the techniques for increasing and decreasing.
This pattern is designed with the idea of reducing yarn waist. So if you already knitted the Pilot sweater pattern or any other project and have some leftover yarn, this project is an ideal way to repurpose it as it needs less than one skein of each color.

Construction notes
The Pilot tie is worked flat with double stranded yarn. It starts with brioche increases right after casting on. Then you work the brioche pattern until you reach your desired length. To finish you use three different types of brioche decreases.
