This top is one of a series of swing tops that emerged from a quest to be able to wear a handknit top every single day of the year. It features an easy to memorize stitch pattern, Pilsner Pleats, which is published in Barbara Walker’s Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns, published by Schoolhouse Press.
The top is worked in 4 pieces, a back, front, and 2 sides. The swing shape and armhole shaping are confined to the two side panels. The 4 side seams are easy to work and will help your summer weight garment hold its shape.
