This beautiful lacy scarf is crocheted in two halves in a shallow V shape, starting at the tip and increasing the width on every row until half the desired length is achieved. The second half is then crocheted with decreasing stitches on every row until there are no further stitches left. A border is then worked all the way round.

The long lacy stitches mean the scarf grows gratifyingly fast!

Prior knowledge of ch, dc, dtr, dtr2tog dtr3tog (UK terms) ch, sc, tr, tr2tog and tr3tog (US terms) is assumed.

Blocking is recommended to bring out the beauty of the lacy construction.

After purchase, you will receive two printable PDF documents to download. One document is written in UK crochet terms, the other is written in US crochet terms. There are 17 pages of detailed instructions, including 20 full colour tutorial photographs. 6 pages of charts are included in the pattern but it is not necessary to know how to read charts, each row is written out using standard crochet abbreviations/notation.

I am classing this as an Intermediate pattern but I am happy to support ambitious beginners with some experience of the stitches mentioned above.

You will also need
• Darning needle to weave in the ends (only 2!) and scissors
• Blocking mat
• Stainless steel blocking pins
