An easy-to-work trellis stitch gives amazing texture to this cozy cowl. Instructions are given for a double-wrap cowl in DK weight, but the cast-on and number of rows can be changed to work with other weights and yardages. The “wrong side” is attractive too, making the cowl reversible (see last photo).

Swatching note: The same yarn and needles that give you 22 stitches in 4 inches of trellis stitch should give you 20 stitches in 4 inches of stockinette.
