Pine cone is a loose fit beanie. Cable like stitches are actually worked by using Estonian star stitch. Pattern includes only one size, but it is easily modified to smaller or bigger sizes.

Knitters whose gauge is usually tight, should try to knit loosely stitches on the round before star stitch, so knitting 3 stitches together will be easier.
