Pine Ridge
A slouchy hat featuring a chevron stitch body, reminiscent of the pine trees that line the mountain sides of the Colorado Rockies and ending in mountain peaks and a star shaped crown.
Sizing Info:
One size teen/adult
Finished Measurements:
Approx. 20” around x 9.5” tall
Gauge: 18 sts = 4” in 4 Round Repeat in the round on larger needles.
Materials:
Yarn and Yardage: One skein of Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage (shown in Fir Wreath) or approx. 200 yds of worsted weight yarn.
-yarn substitutes: Anzula For Better or Worsted, Malabrigo Rios, Dream in Color Classy.
Needles: Sizes US #8 and US #6 needles or size to obtain gauge and two sizes smaller:
-16” circulars in both sizes.
- set of double-pointed needles in larger size only.
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch marker, tape measure.
Techniques Used:
Knit, purl, long tail cast on, decreases, slipped stitches.
