Pine Tree Inline Granny Square has so many uses for home or holiday. Make the squares a pillow or part of a blanket or throw, dress it up for the holidays with sparkle and color or simply enjoy as a coffee mug rug or trivet/hot pad. Great for gifts like cowls and scarfs let our imagination roam. It’s fun and easy, perfect to use up scrap yarn.
Yarn: Any yarn will do. Premier Home Cotton and Lily Sugar and Cream used above. Lion Brand
Comfy Cotton in red example below. Premier Everyday yarn in neon light bright sample last page.
Colors: Main color and Tree - Contrast Color(s) needed. Merry and Bright has a green tree and
multiple colors alternated.
Size: Will depend on Weight Yarn used. Worsted Weight Yarn used above is inches 10x 10 square.
Hook: Will depend on size yarn used. I chose an H 5mm for the above cotton yarns.
Terms: SC single crochet, DC double crochet, CH chain.
Stitches: Some call it inline, others may call it “bricks” it’s all granny stitches in a straight line separated by a row of chain stitches! Using inline granny stitches but adding a SC between leaves
room for the top stitch color to show through.
