Things you need:

• 100 yards main color (I used purple) fingering yarn. 50 yards pineapple color times two (so 100 yards split in two yellow colors) and 50 yards of green (or 25 yards split into two green colors, I used two) I had yarn left over, this is what I started with.

• Size 2.75 mm knitting needles

Gauge is 7 stitch for 1 inch (7 rows) when working color-work in the round on the pineapple body section (the yellow)

Legging measures 7 x 3.7 inches with no stretch applied and is made for newborn to 1 year. Picture of the baby in a carseat is my newborn Rebekah, I think she was around 2 weeks old. The “leg” pictures are her still wearing these at 20 months old, but the fit was tight.
