Pineapple Races
As of November 2018, this is a for-pay pattern, since I’m a full-time student with no job. I priced this at what a getting a falafel would cost me, my favourite food.
But once again, as I’m a penniless student, and I know the joy of knitting a pattern I like but can’t afford, the pattern is free indefinetly with the code VINDOLANDA.
If you feel like picking it up for free or would rather throw some money my way, I hope you enjoy the pattern either way.
ERRATA
Versions of the pattern dated before June 15th 2019 had a minor error in the written instructions of the ribbing transition for the right sock on page 8. Line 13 should read: P1, c2/1l, c2/1r, p2, c3/3l, p1.
This has been corrected in the newest addition of the pattern.
Many thanks to Cindy for pickingup on that.
I never really approved of my pineapple-obsessed sister’s taste in music, always too loud, too electronic-y, too pop-y. The lyrics are meaningless at best (and plainly idiotic at worst), the melodies uninspired (looking at you, “Wild Boys” single by Duran Duran). Overal, nowhere near the fine music I listen to (because my taste in music is superiour, obviously). Then she discovered Queen, fell in love with their music, and made me love them, too. The pattern is inspired by my sister and her pineapple-related collection, and the name comes from the one of her favourite Queen songs, “Bicycle Race”.
(Sadly, the appearance of Queen did not make Wild Boys go away, so I took the matter into my own hands and hid the single.)
