About the Pineapple Tart Pattern
The Pineapple tarts are small, bite-size pastries filled with or topped with pineapple jam found in different parts of Asia.

This crochet version of the Pineapple tart is one commonly found in Singapore. It is one of the many favourite Chinese New Year goodies that families serve during this period to welcome friends and family.

Although this is a zero-calorie crochet snack, the urge to go out and buy some is REAL - it should be made known that one of my pattern testers baked many trays of the actual tarts soon after testing the pattern!

Make one, make a pair, make a full tub while you are at it! Great as gifts for the family and friends during this festive season!

This is a PDF written pattern and photo tutorial for crocheting a Pineapple Tart.
It does not include a stitch diagram or chart.

The Pineapple Tart is Singapore local a bite-sized pastry snack filled with with / topped with pineapple jam / puree.
This is a all-time favourite during Chinese New Year.

Skill Level
Intermediate - Experienced

Yarn and Hook Size
Pineapple Jam: Any bright orange yarn
Crust: Any bright yellow yarn

Following yarn and hook size have been used to complete the project:
• 4-Ply Acrylic Yarn: 2.5mm
Hooks with a long shaft is preferred as this makes coiling and pulling of the Bullion Stitches much easier.

Finished Size
The Pineapple Tart was tested with 4-Ply Acrylic Yarn and the finished size is approximately:
• Diameter: 5.5cm
• Height: 2.7cm
