Pineapples and Lace Cushion

The majority of my crochet designs are not of the ‘lacey’ type. There are many beautiful doilies out there made from the finest cotton, giving them the appearance of lace.

So, I wanted to try something a little different and make a doily-type cushion. I do believe that using an insert with (or covering the insert with) a contrasting coloured fabric, would make the cushion pop quiet nicely.

Both sides of the cushion are the same, and they work up a lot quicker than what you think. The two sides are woven together using a length of chain stitches.
