Needles: Size US 6 / 4.0 mm 24” / 60 cm circular needle
Yarn: worsted weight, approx. 186 yards / 170 meters; sample used Malabrigo Rios 696 Whole Grain (100% superwash merino wool; 210 yds (192 meters) / 100g)
Notions: 1 tapestry needle, 2 cable needles, 7 stitch markers (one distinct for marking beginning of round)
Stitch Glossary
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
k3tog: knit 3 stitches together
alternate method: k2tog, slip stitch back to left needle, pass 2nd stitch on left needle over 1st stitch and off the left needle, slip stitch back to right needle
k3tog tbl: knit 3 stitches together through the back loop
alternate method: slip 1 stitch purlwise, k2tog tbl, pass slipped stitch over 1st stitch and off the right needle
k4tog: knit 4 stitches together
alternate method: k2tog, slip stitch back to left needle, pass 2nd and 3rd stitches on left needle over 1st stitch and off the left needle, slip stitch back to right needle
k4tog tbl: knit 4 stitches together through the back loop
