k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
k3tog: knit 3 stitches together
alternate method: k2tog, slip stitch back to left needle, pass 2nd stitch on left needle over 1st stitch and off the left needle, slip stitch back to right needle
k3tog tbl: knit 3 stitches together through the back loop
alternate method: slip 1 stitch purlwise, k2tog tbl, pass slipped stitch over 1st stitch and off the right needle
k4tog: knit 4 stitches together
alternate method: k2tog, slip stitch back to left needle, pass 2nd and 3rd stitches on left needle over 1st stitch and off the left needle, slip stitch back to right needle
