Piney Creek
The lofty and slightly twisted Léttlopi yarn used in this tam, which gets its name from a town in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, makes this a warm and cozy accessory. The band of the tam is worked first, and then the number of stitches is decreased as you knit towards the center. Place stitch markers between the six sections of the tam, if you choose. When worked in ribbing, the Léttlopi yarn also provides quite a bit of stretch, so the tam should accommodate most head sizes.
