The Pinglette Set make up two of the 11 engaging patterns from Penguin: a Knit Collection by Anna Maltz - a printed book packed with patterns, photographs, illustrations and stories, all inspired by penguins. Available from annamaltz.com and your LYS.

A deep cowl and matching beret knitted from a single skein. Starting with smaller needles to achieve the density you will be used to seeing Linen Stitch in and working up in needle size to uncharted lace territory (hence I’ve called it Expanded Linen Stitch), this beret and cowl set is fully reversible.

SIZES
Beret: S/M (M/L).
To fit head circumference: 53-57 (58-61)cm / 21-22½ (22¾ -24)”
Cowl: One Size

YARN
Snældan 2-ply (4ply/sport weight; 100% wool; 360m / 394yds per 100g)
Cloud x 1

Note: You will need approximately 35g of yarn for the hat and 65g for the cowl. If you knit the cowl after the beret, you can use up all the remaining yarn, stopping when approximately 10m / 11yds of yarn remains which should be just enough to finish and cast off.
