Pinion
Pinion is worked in the round from the neck down with a combination of round yoke and raglan shaping.
The feather motif is created through cables and colourwork, with stem stitch embroidery added later to work the quill and accent shading. A video tutorial is available here: http://youtu.be/qm9c9Efoym0
The front opening is worked with a steek, then cut open and button bands added.
