Need some cute, practical decorations for Valentine’s Day? These basic granny square coasters are perfect for the season without going overboard with the pink!

These coasters have a subtle “heart” shape” and the white helps tone it down for some winter-spring seasonal use instead of just one day.

For this pattern I used Lily Sugar’n Cream The Original Yarn (the small skeins) in Ecru (white), Tea Rose (light pink), and Tangerine (dark pink). You can use any worsted weight yarn, but I love this particular yarn because it’s smoother, stiffer, and sturdier.

I made 4 coasters and didn’t even make a dent in my skeins. You can make as many as you want!
