Pink Cadillac is slow fashion at its best. The yarns are composed of all kinds of yummy fibers; cashmere, wool, silk, and mohair all play a part.

The Phrancko technique is used to create a seamless set-in sleeve, knit top-down. For new knitters this can be a challenge, but once you get the hang of the technique it hums along nicely. There is also a Phrancko zoom meeting on Saturdays and a KnitWiz zoom meeting on Thursdays where you can get help (or just join for fun). Links to these groups are at the bottom of this description.

The wide shawl collar took me about the same time to knit as the rest of the sweater. The collar is worked in two pieces, vertically from bottom to top. The left side is a mirror image of the right. I found that the brioche did stretch a bit upon blocking, so opted for a shawl pin rather than a button. Depending on your taste and yarn choices you may choose to use either the light or dark color as the contrast side - the side which ends up framing your face.

The design came from my wish to make an elegant sweater for my daughter. She wears it more casually, with jeans, though it could be dressed up too by closing completely.
