This pattern was inspired by a pattern from 1982 for a knit sweater with contrasting lace collar and cuffs. My version expands the lace pattern around the neckline and sleeves into a pseudo yoke. I used raglan sleeves both because I like the styling, and because I wanted the pointed shape of the lace panels rather than a true yoke. The body and sleeves are each begun in the round at the cuff, and then worked flat as the contrasting lace is introduced. The collar is worked after the raglan seams are sewn.

Size: 36” around the bottom edge, 38” around at the waist, 38” around at the bust, and 20” from neck to bottom hem at the back. 17” across at the shoulders, sleeves are 15” long, and 10” around at the hem. All measurements are given unstretched.

Materials: ~560 yds MC and 90 yds CC of sport weight yarn (model uses one 600yd skein Kollabora Nora’s Pantry in Pink Peppercorn (MC), and 1 skein similar weight yarn in variegated pink(CC)). U.S. Size 5 circular needle, and U.S. Size 4 circular needle, stitch holders or scrap yarn

Gauge: 18 sts by 26 rows = 4” x 4” in Stockinette Stitch with #5 needles

Techniques Used: (Abbreviations and charts are listed at the end of the pattern.)

So far I have only worked out one size for this pattern. The math to change the body size is very straight forward since the sweater has only minimal shaping, but the lace charts make the shoulders and sleeves more difficult to scale. Adding more sizes to this and other patterns is something I hope to accomplish soon, but for now if you have sizing questions, please contact me and I will do my best to help.
