With crochet, you can play with as many colors as you wish to create more interesting and appealing patterns.

This design was made with 2 mm macrame polypropilene/nylon braided cord. You can find it in haberdasheries, notions and craft supplies stores. Other similar cords as Espiga no.18 twisted nylon cord also work. Raffia, hemp and jute are suitable too. These materials are good for bags because they have great resistance and durability.

You can also crochet it with t-shirt yarn, cotton, wool or others.
