Pinkole
This is a fundraising pattern for my late brother, Mino (1971-2004).
“Pinkole” is the first design of the “Colorful Nicole (CN)” cowl series.
Note: Pinkole is a very similar to Cowl of Assassins (S.P. Cormac). If you LOVE S.P. Cormac like I do, please knit Pinkole as well. Otherwise, I would recommend to knit either one only.
My daughter, Nicole, is one of a kind girl. She is 12 years old. She is as small as 8 years old, but talks like 14 years old. Many have told her “ good things comes in a small package.” She is very observant and alert, noticing little things and other’s behavior around her.
She talks to Mino every night and every time she sees moon. Although she was born a year after Mino’s passing, she talks to him more than anyone.
Her favorite color is always pink. Not a pale pink, a vibrant pink like this cowl. When I saw this yarn, I knew I had to knit something for her. Pinkole is for Nicole who loves pink, a one of a kind girl.

All the proceeds of this pattern will be donated to the Minoru Hokari Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Australian National University. My late brother, Minoru Hokari (“Mino” 1971-2004) died of cancer at the age of 32. The scholarship fund supports young scholars who study Indigenous Australians through fieldwork. We are trying to fully fund it to achieve its perpetuity. Please help.
Please visit Being Connected with HOKARI MINORU to meet Mino.
