Pinky the Elephant
Materials and tools you will need:
- main color yarn – I used less than 50 g of the yarn mentioned above working two strands;
- yarn for the inner part of the trunk (matching the weight of the main color yarn) – small amount;
- yarn for the hands and feet (matching the weight of the main color yarn) – small amount. You can use wool for felting for the heels instead of crocheting (instructions are not given in the pattern);
- 2 black half beads for the eyes (I used 8 mm in diameter);
- a piece of white felt for the whites of the eyes (optional);
- crochet hook;
- wire for the trunk (optional). I used approximately 15 cm (6 inches) of wire 1.0 mm in diameter;
- plaster - adhesive-backed fabric tape 1 cm wide to work up the wire (optional);
- stuffing;
- any material for tinting (I used regular blusher);
- false eyelashes (optional);
- strong thread for needle sculpting;
- black embroidery thread for the eyebrows;
- safety pins;
- strong thread for thread joints (optional);
- tapestry needle.
Measurements:
I used “Velour” by Nazar Rus (100% acrylic; 600m/100g) using two strands and crochet hook 1.75 mm. The toy is 13.5 cm (5.3 inches) tall using the materials mentioned above.
