The construction is a traditional top-down with a heel flap and an arch shaping of the sole.

Some words from the participants in the MKAL:
This was a SUPER mystery knit-along! I loved how each clue had a different pattern and that the architectural elements from the castle were evident in the design. It didn’t hurt that I learned a thing or two along the way :)
Thank you AnitaYarn for sharing your talent with us.
Hourra!!! Just finished my socks, during lunch time!! So happy, I love them!! Thank you AnitaYarn for a such beautiful pattern!!
My first KAL experience - and how exciting it was. Thanks to AnitaYarn for sharing this wonderful pattern with us. I had fun and learned a lot.
What a fun pattern this was to knit! I really love the feet particularly, both upper (hidden diamonds!) and and sole patterning… Thank you so much!
This really is a delightful pattern. I was discussing the fabulous fit of these socks with my knitting buddy, showed her my completed pair and I very nearly didn’t get them back, lol. She cast on a pair for herself tonight.
There is also something sexy about having a patterned sole that remains “secret”.
Thank you Anita, I just love love love them
I really do love this pattern. Usually I have to hibernate textured patterns until vacation, but I stayed up till 4 am Saturday because I just had to finish the Clue 3 chart.
Done! This is my second mystery sock KAL with Anita and again so much fun and such a good fitting result!
Thank you, Anita for your design. I really enjoyed it!
I’m not done yet, but I have long (US size 12) feet, pretty narrow, and pretty flat arches, and when I tried mine on the heel snapped in to place like no sock I have ever had. I didn’t think I had any bad fitting socks, but WOW these fit like a glove.
Just love the pattern, thank you Anita
I am really loving this pattern. Thank you for sharing all your designing talent.
One sock complete…what a great pattern! Anita, thanks so much for a very fun knit.
What a gorgeous sock! I love how the pattern changed a bit with each clue, well done AnitaYarn!
Anita, thank you for such a wonderful pattern. They will be knit again in a slightly larger size to fit my foot. These have been claimed by my daughter. She raved about the fit of the foot. I am always surprised how generous knitting designers are to share their gift for free with us mere mortals. The idea in your head may be easy, but the designing and then the writing of the pattern are hard work. Thank you again.
Finished this lovely pattern. Nice fit and very comfortable too.
Thank you so much for this pattern! The socks are so snug and the perfect size for me! I loved them! And my husband thinks that they are one of the coolest projects I’ve ever made!
Am so in love with this pattern! Thank you so much, Anita
Amazing pattern! loved the underneath too!
