Sizes:
XS -S / M / L / XL-XXL

The Pinophyta Sweater has a relaxed, slightly crop fit (the length may be easily adjusted) and is designed to have approx. 20 cm (8 inches) of positive ease. This means the garment’s measurements will be approx. 20 cm (8 inches) larger than your actual bust circumference.

The sizes are designed to fit a bust circumference of XS-S (78-85 cm; 30-34”), M (85-95 cm; 33-37”), L (95-105 cm; 37-41”), XL-XXL (106-125 cm; 42-49”).

Before you begin, measure yourself to determine the correct size. For example, if your bust circumference is 90 cm (35½ inches), you should knit a size M. If you are between sizes, choose the size based on how loose you prefer the garment to fit. Using the chart with the finished garment measurements can be a helpful reference when deciding which size to select.

MATERIALS AND TOOLS:

Suggested yarn:
1. Purl Soho Cashmere Merino Bloom 75% Merino Wool, 25% cashmere – 199 m in 100g (218yds) 6, 7, 8, 9 skeins.

• Two pairs of 2.75mm (US 2, UK 12) circular or straight needles (depends how you knit) for 1x1 rib finish at the body bottom. You can manage with just one pair of needles by placing the front ribbing live sts on a waste yarn while you knit the back ribbing.
• A pair of 2.0mm (US 0, UK 14) 40cm (16”) circular needles for sleeve cuffs and neckband.
• A pair of 4.0mm (US 6, UK 8) circular or straight needles for the main body.
• 3-3.5mm crochet hook (US D, E, UK 9-11) to make a chain around the neckline to make the transition from body to headband neater.
• Tapestry needle.
• 4 stitch holders or about 200 cm of waste yarn (25”).
• Measuring tape.
• Some markers.
• Scissors.

GAUGE (TENSION) approximate:

21 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in stockinette stitch after washing and blocking. The swatch is made in the round with 4.0mm (US 6, UK 8) knitting needles.
