Overview
This is a fun little pint glass cozy to keep your hand warm and condensation off the table when drinking a cold drink.
Note that this cozy will be a little tight on the glass at first, you might feel that you’re really squeezing it in there. But with some regular use, it will settle in and stretch out a bit so it’s better to have it tight when you first make it rather than too loose. If you don’t want to fuss with it the first few times you use it, leave it on a pint glass for a few days in a corner somewhere so it takes shape over the pint glass.
Details
- There is just one size that fits a standard US pint glass. Finished it is 2.5 in (6.5cm) in diameter at the base, growing to 3.75 in (9cm) in diameter at the top, and 5 in (14cm) tall which leaves a bit of glass exposed at the top to drink from.
- You will use about 80m of Ricorumi DK or similar yarn.
- I used a 3.75mm hook which worked well, but the yarn suggested 3mm or 4mm so you should be able to go smaller if you want tighter stitches but you’ll need to adjust the pattern accordingly.
